Use POOM as a BLE Game Controller

Connect POOM over Bluetooth Low Energy and use its D-pad and buttons as an interactive game controller in a Chromium browser.

POOM can become a wireless controller for a computer, phone, or tablet. It uses Bluetooth Low Energy HID, the same standard used by Bluetooth keyboards and mice, so the paired device receives POOM's button presses as normal input without a special dongle.

  1. On POOM, open THE GAMER → TINY CONTROL and press A.
  2. Open Bluetooth settings on your computer, phone, or tablet.
  3. Select POOM from the available devices and complete pairing.
  4. Open a game or app that accepts keyboard controls, then use POOM's directional pad and A/B buttons.
Pair once: after the first connection, the host can remember POOM like any other Bluetooth controller. If it does not reconnect, remove POOM from the host's saved Bluetooth devices and pair it again.

WII air-mouse mode

POOM can also use its motion sensor as a BLE mouse. Open THE GAMER → WII, pair POOM as a Bluetooth mouse, and move or tilt the device to control the pointer. This turns POOM into a compact motion controller for presentations, interfaces, and experiments.
